Married At First Sight bride Jacqui Burfoot has come under fire after making a crude comment about fellow her ‘husband’ Ryan Donnelly during a chaotic TikTok Live.
The 29-year-old lawyer took part in a now-viral livestream alongside Clint Rice on Friday night, who she has since re-matched with, which has been met with backlash.
The pair appeared to mock Ryan’s location and sexual activity with an expletive-laced joke that many viewers have labelled ‘sl*t-shaming.’
‘Where is Ryan? He’s probably in Campbelltown,’ Jacqui said, before crudely adding: ‘I guess he’s probably f***ing some sl*t.’
Clint, clearly caught off guard, laughed nervously and replied: ‘Can we cut that?’
The pair’s remarks spread rapidly across social media, sparking outrage and hundreds of furious comments slamming Jacqui for using degrading language towards women.

Jacqui has since issued a lengthy statement apologising for the slur, saying the term was used sarcastically but admitting ‘it wasn’t funny.’
She went on to clarify that she has no contact with Ryan, claiming he’s blocked and that she gets friends and family to monitor his online content and report back to her.
‘I don’t follow Ryan and didn’t know he was seeing anyone – last I heard he was single hooking up with women at parties with his tongue down their throats,’ Jacqui claimed. ‘Yes, I literally get heaps of these messages from girls.’
‘Sorry to those romantic interests if they are offended – all the best to these babes (and no shame on towns and locations).
In saying that please don’t send me threats of physical harm. It’s so disproportionate.’
However, fans weren’t buying the apology, flooding social media with scathing criticism.
One user wrote: ‘Ew. Calling women sl*ts is not supportive behaviour, Jacqui.
‘Just gross. Be better,’ while another added, ‘Jacqui reminds me of Olivia. Constantly backtracking and saying “bad edit” never admitting to anything they have done.’

A third simply commented: ‘Wowza.’
Others compared her to previous controversial contestants from past MAFS seasons, with one fan writing: ‘Clint will be back in 2 months telling us how crazy she is,’ while another said, ‘She is bringing Clint down to her level. No respect for him either now.’
Another user didn’t hold back: ‘They painted a pic of her on MAFS. Sadly, I don’t think they’re far off.’
And one comment that seemed to sum up the mood read: ‘Wow, what a revolting couple.’
Fans also took aim at Clint for his failure to immediately shut down the offensive remark.
‘Clint is asking for trouble,’ one person wrote, while another said: ‘Oh wow, so elegant Jacqui NOT. All the best Clint. 1 WORD. (PRENUP)’
The backlash has also reignited debate about Jacqui’s behaviour throughout the season, with some calling her out for blaming editing and deflecting accountability.
One follower vented: ‘You can blame editing all you like, you have just proven that their editing is not far off who you are. Please go and seek some help!’

Others were more direct: ‘Putrid individual she is’ and ‘Seriously, there is something wrong with her!’
Jacqui’s involvement in the controversy comes amid reports that her relationship with Clint may be on rocky ground behind the scenes, despite their united front during the livestream.
Viewers have questioned their compatibility from the start, with many pointing out their drastically different lifestyles and maturity levels.
The drama continues to unfold both on and off screen, with fans now calling for accountability from cast members who misuse their platforms.
