He may have left the experiment last week, but Clint Rice has continued to take down his Married At First Sight co-stars on social media. The pro golfer and business owner shared an Instagram video on Wednesday evening taking a savage swipe at fellow groom Ryan Donnelly.

In case you missed it, it was recently confirmed that Clint had moved on from his on-screen ‘wife’ Lauren Hall and is now in a relationship with Ryan’s partner Jacqui Burfoot. Jacqui and Ryan have had quite a tumultuous relationship on the show which blew up during Wednesday night’s dinner party when she asked him why he didn’t want to change anything about himself to be “someone great”.

“Why don’t I want to be someone great? You see how that’s insulting right, don’t you?” he replied.

Following the dramatic episode, Clint posted a video of himself walking out of his luxury Tasmanian mansion past his private tennis court and looking back at his $140,000 Porsche Macan alongside the caption: “POV: He wanted to be great.”

The video is an apparent dig at Ryan, who showcased his humble South West Sydney house filled with knick-knacks and travel souvenirs during Homestays Week.

Clint’s post received plenty of positive comments, including one from Jacqui who gushed about her new partner.

“Guys he is so great! He is full of integrity, perseverance, hard work, EQ, IQ & is so loving & kind. Best of all he lets the dog walk on a loose leash!” she wrote, referring to Ryan’s strict rules with his dog Freya.

“You are already great Clint, on the inside and out,” one fan replied, followed by another who added, “I’m very happy for you both”.

“Good on them – if they work together let them be. Some people are just not for each other,” someone else replied.

During a recent interview with Yahoo Lifestyle, Clint praised Jacqui while calling out her controversial ‘edit’ on the reality show.

“She’s a really smart, career-driven girl, and to have her on there, they’re making her look like she’s all over the place and fake crying and all this sort of stuff where that’s not her,” he shared.

“How can you damage someone’s character like that? She’s a great person, she’s an attractive, smart girl that’s actually got some insecurities in a lot of ways, and they’ve made her sound like a person that loves herself, no one’s on her level, all these things that get thrown in there, which are frankenbites or frankenedits. It’s awful to see someone’s character get taken and put on TV like that.”

A production insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Clint and Jacqui grew close towards the end of filming but didn’t get together until after the season wrapped. It’s believed the pair will shock their co-stars when they announce their relationship at the reunion, similar to Ellie Dix and Jono McCullough last season.

Although many previous MAFS ‘cheating scandals’ fizzled out after the show, things appear to be going strong for the controversial couple as Jacqui has already quit her job in Sydney and is now living with Clint in Tasmania.

“Neither of them are making any secret of their relationship and have been flaunting it on their socials,” our source shares. “The entire cast knows about it and they’ve since been iced out of the group.”
