“The Golden God” walked away from DONDI Season 2 with a life-changing amount of cash.
David Genat has had his eyes on the prize from the very beginning of Deal or No Deal Island Season 2. And after forming solid alliances with his fellow competitors — serving as the father in “The Family” — and crushing this season’s grueling Excursions, “The Golden God” truly has some deep pockets as he won a life-changing sum of money on DONDI.

$500,000
David came into Deal or No Island with plenty of helpful reality competition experience under his belt. In 2018, David was a contestant on Survivor Australia: Champions vs. Contenders. While he didn’t win any money then, he did earn his nickname of “The Golden God” during his time on the show.
In 2020, he returned to compete in Survivor Australia: All Stars. David not only won the title of “Sole Survivor” during his second stint on competition reality TV, but he also took home a cash prize of $500,000.

At the time, David had told news.com.au he planned to spend his prize money on his family, which including moving them back to Australia from the U.S. He also said he planned to donate some of his winnings to Fijian villages near where Survivor was filmed and also wanted to have a little fun with what money he had left. “I’m going to buy at least one new motorcycle, if I can swing it!” he said at the time.
And yes, as he revealed on Instagram, he did get that motorcycle — a Fat Bob 114 Harley Davidson, to be exact.

$5,800,000
David won the largest sum of money in all of Deal or No Deal history — and primetime TV history — when he accepted an offer of $5.8 million.
Chrissy Teigen’s first offer during the DONDI Season 2 finale started at $230,000 and eventually rose to $1,523,000, which the new Banker pointed out was “more than three times the amount you made on Survivor.”
As the game continued, Teigen dropped to her knees as she made David more offers throughout the season’s final game of Deal or No Deal.
“David, I’m not gonna mess around, you’ve played an amazing game. This is by far the highest offer in Deal or No Deal history,” Teigen said.
“If you take this offer, this would be the most money anybody has ever made on network television,” Host Joe Manganiello told David as he contemplated the deal. “You would truly be The Golden God.”
David ultimately accepted the offer, smashing the red button to solidify his life-changing prize of $5.8 million.
