The Married At First Sight mystery man who brutally ditched Jamie Marinos in a shock twist on Tuesday night has been revealed as a heavily-inked tradie and part-time model.

The mystery man who stood up Married At First Sight’s Jamie Marinos has been identified as Melbourne-based plumber Tyson Fievez.

Jamie, 28, was left blindsided when her “backup” match failed to show up for their date at a bar during Tuesday evening’s episode.

The fan favourite’s unexpected date was part of the MAFS world-first task, ‘Is the Grass Greener on the Other Side?’.

A MAFS insider on Wednesday said the heavily-inked Tyson, who is a model signed with Brooklyn MGMT, “was on standby and flew into Sydney for filming.”

“But after hearing that he would be ruining their marriage, he had second thoughts,” they told Daily Mail Australia.

“He didn’t want to be the guy to interfere. In the end, he pulled out last minute and chose not to show up—leaving Jamie standing there.”

Instagram photos of Tyson show him looking every bit the reality TV buff, with his chiselled frame and uncanny likeness to Jamie’s tattooed “husband” Dave.

The runaway groom can be seen showing off his inked designs, which include three cherubs across his chest, Louis Vuitton monograms, and sprawling sleeve work covering both his arms.

The 20-something-year-old appears to boast a classic party-boy persona, and several photos show him lapping up the Melbourne nightlife with a drink in hand.

Tyson also donned a crisp white shirt while he clutched the lapels of his blazer and gave his best poker face to the camera in one alluring modelling shot.

This week’s controversial task saw each bride and groom presented with an envelope which allowed them to remain committed to their current on-screen spouses or meet an entirely new ‘backup’ match hand-picked by the MAFS experts.

“This will give you the chance to really evaluate how deep the connection is your relationship and hopefully help answer the question…is the grass greener on the other side,” the task read.

Jamie decided to meet her new suitor while her husband Dave Hand chose not to proceed with his date and instead focused on repairing the couple’s rocky relations over the last couple of weeks.

However, in a cruel twist, a producer told Jamie her new match “couldn’t make it” to their date hours after she had waited for him at the bar, leaving her embarrassed and regretting her decision.

His no-show on Tuesday evening’s episode marked the first time Jamie said she had been stood up in a social setting.

“I’ve never been stood up a restaurant before in my life, and now I have to remember this moment for the rest of my life,” the Greek star said.

“It’s actually so embarrassing that this is now a televised event.

“It makes me want to run to Dave and literally hold onto him for dear life.”

Back at the apartments after her date, Dave surprised viewers with his humble reaction to Jamie telling him she had agreed to the task.

“We’re in a marriage here. I trust her…but I’m glad she got stood up,” the loveable gentle giant said.

Each couple was separated in the early hours of the morning to decide whether to meet their new suitor without first consulting their spouses or knowing what the other person would choose.

The curveball has already thrown some marriages into disarray, with Awhina Rutene and Adrina Araouzou both agreeing to meet their mystery matches before arguing over the decision.

It comes during the pivotal final week of the experiment, before the cast separate to decide whether to stay committed to each other at final vows.

Paul Antoine, Adrian Araouzou, Ryan Donnelly, and Teejay Halkias all surrendered to the task and met their new matches, thus failing the task in the eyes of the experts.

Jamie Marinos, Awhina Rutene, Jacqueline Burfoot, and Beth Kelly also agreed to meet their new suitors.

Dave Hand, Carina Mirable, Jeff Gobbels, and Rhi Disljenkovic were the only participants who remained committed to their current spouses.
